Yobe state Harmonised Traders Association has elected it’s new executive council to oversee the affairs of the association for the next four years.
The election of the new executives of the Union which took place at Damaturu local government Town Hall.
Speaking during the election the chairman of the electoral committee Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Bello urged members of the association to work towards the progress of the Union and the state at general.
The chairman Also commended the efforts of the members for their support and cooperation for conducting hitch free and transparent election.
He commended commend the Governor mai Mala buni for numerous cooperation,support and assistance to the union in the state.
Those elected are Alhaji Mohammad muktar kime as chairman, Ibrahim Ahmad Adam as vice Chairman, Abubakar Audu Agwai Secretary, Goni Ngoma Garba Assistant Secretary, Alhaji Buba Umar Mai goro, Bukar Mohammad BK financial Secretary, Mohammad sani Auwal Auditor, Hajiya Hadiza lawan Women leader and Alhaji Ado Yaro Gashua as PRO Respectively.
Others are Alhaji Mohammad Dallatu Zone A zonal chairman, Alhaji Bello Dumbulwa zone B zonal chairman and Alhaji Tanko Hamza mai zare zone C zonal chairman.
In his acceptance speech the newly elected chairman of the Association Alhaji Mohammed Muktar kime assured to work towards the progress and development of the Union.
He also assured that he would run open door policy to ensure inclusive leadership style in the Union.
He appealed to all members of the Union to give the new executives all the necessary support and cooperation to move the Union forward.
He commend Governor Mai Mala Buni for the construction of five ultra modern makerts in the state, which according to him would enhance commercial activities of the people of the state.
