GOV. BUNI LAUNCHES CASH SUPPORT FOR 1000 FLOOD VICTIMS IN YOBE

Governor of yobe state Mai Mala Buni has launched cash support of N100, 000 each to 1000 victims of flooding across the state under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) programme. 


NG-CARES is a federal government intervention programme being implemented with the support and collaboration of yobe state governments.


"The NG-CARES is indeed another effective instrument that would complement the efforts of Governor Buni's administration for implementation of its post-insurgency recovery plan, especially in the areas of employment and income generation as well as self-reliance", Gov. Buni said. 


The event which was took place as the Banquet Hall government House Damaturu.


The ceremony was attended by the  Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, speaker Yobe state House of assembly RT. Hon.Chiroma Buba Mashio, Secretary to the State Government, Alh.Baba Malam Wali,hon.Commissioner,s Malam Wali,Head of service, chief of Staff,members of the state House of assembly, APC party chairman and special Advisers,as well as prominent politicians among others.


He further revealed that his administration has made a cumulative contribution of over N1.8 billion towards the successful implementation of the various platforms of the NG-CARES programme. 



"The beneficiaries include farmers, small and medium enterprises as well as provision of 44 micro projects to 21 communities under the FADAMA, Community and Social Development Agency and other related programmes", Gov. Buni added.


The governor thanked the federal government, development partners and other organizations on issues relating to livelihood support and development of yobe state.
