The Federal Ministry of Health in partnership with the World Bank and Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) organised a 3 day start up workshop for the Nigeria Covid 19 Preparedness and Response (CoPREP) implementation processes and procedures from 20th - 22nd September 2023 at Sandralia Hotels Abuja.
In attendance were the Director Public Health SMOH ably represented by Dr Babagana Abba and the CopREP PIU including the state Epidemiologist Dr.Mohd M Isiyaka, SIO Dr.Lawan Yau, Project Accountant Ibrahim Mohammed, State DSNO Haruna Umaru and Procurement officer Habib Mohammed.
At the event, as part of the commitment of the FMOH and partners to support State on Public Health Emergencies Management, a new brand hilux was allocated to Yobe State.
The brand new hilux was received by Dr.Babagana Abba and the CoPREP PIU on behalf of Honourable Commissioner for Health and human service
Dr.Gana Lawan Muhammad FWACP.
The vehicle is strictly allocated and should be judiciously used for public health activities in the state.
On behalf of Yobe state Government,Ministry of Health agencies, FMOH and partners will
utilise the vehicle judicious for the intended purposes the Representative of the Commissioner,s said.
