Gov.Buni honoured by Fulaaku Geremas Gainako

Yobe state Governor Hon.Mai Mala Buni has assured the readiness of his administration to provide  enabling environment for cattle breeders to ensure peaceful coexistence among farmers and herders in the state 


 The Governor stated this while speaking at a special grand reception organize by Fulaaku Gerema's in his honour.


 Alhaji Mai Mala Buni expressed appreciation to all Fulani community for honouring him, assured to continued in this direction.


The Governor said in the 2024 budget there is provisions to provide more devident of democracy to the electorate.


 He further assured that his administration would focus on provisions of portable drinking water, qualitative education, healthcare, roads construction and construction of mores water dams for cattle breeders.


The Governor commended the cordial relationship existing between farmers and herders in the state.


 The Governor also called on the Fulani community to engaged in farming, business and the traditions of cattle breeding to improve their socioeconomic development.


Earlier the speaker Yobe state House of Assembly Alhaji Chiroma A Buba Mashio said the reception was organized to honour the Governor for his concern to the Fulani community by the Fulaaku Gerema's.


 The speaker commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for construction of Nazari livestock development Center and proposed Gurjiyaje livestock development among others numerous interventions to herder and Fulani community in general.


 He presented the request made by the Fulaaku Gerema's to the Governor which among others are cattle route, access to water, normadic education among others.


In his welcome address, the district head of Wagir said Fulani community are very greatful to the present administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni for appoiting their sons in  different positions.


The district head further added that this is first of it kind in the history of the state for appoiting a Fulani as speaker and over ten as members of the state executive council.


During the grand reception the Governor was honoured by the Fulaaku Gerema's as Gainako of Yobe and give him fourty two cows as gifts.
