YOBE: GOV. BUNI MARKS ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY 2024.

Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni today monday performed the wreath laying ceremony  which marks the Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2024 in Damaturu.


The event which took place at the Government House, event Centre Damaturu.


In attendance were 

The Speaker, Yobe State,Chief Judge of Yobe state, Commander Sector II, Operation Hadin Kai, Damaturu, Commissioner of Police Yobe State, Director State security Services, Yobe State,the Emir of Fika/Chairman Yobe State Council of Chiefs, the Chairman Nigerian Legion, Yobe State, the Representative of Widows who also performed the wreaths laying in commemoration of the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.



Special prayers were offered by both Christian and Muslim military clerics for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes and for the peace, unity and progress of the state and the nation at large.


Buni paid tribute to the fallen heroes who paid the supreme price in the fight against insecurity in the north east in protecting the state against extremism and external aggression.


speaking  to journalist shortly after wreath laying ceremony at the event centre Government house  Damaturu, Buni said,

"We are able to celebrate and commemorate the day marking the remembrance of the fallen heroes and going forward, we expect more patriotism and nationalism to ensure that peace reigns in Yobe state as our relatives are  enjoying our peace today”, 


The Governor released white pigeons to signify peace,unity of across the state and the nation at

Large.
