Governor Zulum, Modu Sheriff Shehu of Borno, Ma'aji lawan, joined Buni, and other dignitaries at the Yobe state government house Mosque to attend the 3-day prayers for the late former Governor of Yobe State Bukar Abba Ibrahim.
Those who attended the 3-day prayers are; Governor of Borno State Babagana Umara Zulum, Modu Shariff, Shehu of Borno, Maina Ma'aji in attendance,
for 3-day prayer for the Late Bukar Abba, a former governor and a former law maker at the Red chamber.
Abba died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 75.
Speaking during the prayers, Governor Zulum said the country has lost a “great Nigerian” and a “legislative pillar”.
Zulum, said under his leadership, the late lawmaker inspired members of the Red chamber in many ways.
“’Abba was a Dedicated lawmaker, He showed leadership During his time.
The Late Bukar Abba Ibrahim has made a significant impact both in Yobe and Borno State.
The contribution he made in Nigeria cannot be over emphasized.
During his time in office, he worked tirelessly to promote social, economic Development, Education, healthcare and improved living standards for the citizens of the State.
According to Hon. Aji YAerima Bularafa who served as the Commissioner ministry for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs said, the late Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim is a gentleman per Excellence, Dedicated and committed legislature.
“Long after his exit from the parliament, he remained active, politically, and continued to encourage and motivate us all and
He will be sorely missed,
“Indeed, we have lost a great Nigerian; a legislative pillar.
"My heart goes out to the late Abba Ibrahim's family and my prayers are with them at this moment of grief".
