The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Musa Mustapha as the winner of the Yobe East Bye-Election.
Hon. Musa Mustapha scored 68,778 votes to defeat Dr.Aji Kolomi (Ajiko) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The Returning Officer of INEC, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Jajere declared Hon. Musa Mustapha who scored 68,778 to defeat Dr. Aji Kolomi (Ajiko) of the PDP who got 18,878 votes.
Prof. Ahmed Jajere said “Hon. Musa Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC), having scored the highest number of votes cast and having satisfied requirements of the law, has been declared the winner of the Yobe East senatorial East Bye-Election”.
Hon.Musa Mustapha is a former Commissioner of Finance,in first time of Governor mai Mala buni and a Commissioner of Transport and Energy in Governor Buni second term in office
Hon.Musa Mustapha replaces Senator Ibrahim Geidam who is appointed minister of police affairs by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
