The Vice President of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shattima has commiserated with the people and Yobe state government over the demise of the first civilian governor of the state Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim who died on Sunday in Saudi Arabia.
On arrival, the Vice President, Kashim Shettima and members of his entourage were received by the Executive Governor of Yobe state Mai Mala Buni at Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport Damaturu.
Governor Buni led the Vice President to the Presidential Lodge in Damaturu where he sympathized with the people, families and the state government over the demise of Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim.
Condoning the Governor and the entire people of Yobe State, the Vice President describes Late Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim as a true leader whose mission is to unite people and build the society.
According to him, the late lawmaker is a man of humility, honesty and integrity.
In his remarks after receiving the personalities, Governor Buni appreciates them for the concern, care and prays for them Journey mercies back to their respective destinations.
The Vice President was accompanied by some key Government Officials and top government dignitaries like Amb. Babagana Kingibe, Arch.Ibrahim Bunu, Amb.Baba Ahmed Jidda, among others during the Condolence visit.
