Gov.Buni Launches Ethical Re-orientation Campaign

Yobe State Governor,Mai Mala Buni,has initiated a significant campaign on ethical re-orientation titled "Operation Gyaran Hali" in the state.

The re-orentation Campaign was Organized by the State Ministry of Religious Affairs on Ethical Re-orientation (MORAER), the campaign aims to foster positive attitudinal changes within society
In the State. 

Addressing the gathering at the Art and Cultural Center in Damaturu, Governor Buni emphasized the urgency of the event in light of the deteriorating moral values and declining cultural and religious ethics, particularly among the youth.

Reflecting on the historical integrity of Yobe communities influenced by the old Kanem Bornu Emirate and Islamic teachings, Governor Buni lamented the erosion of these values over time.

He highlighted the alarming rise in drug abuse and its detrimental effects, calling for immediate and strategic interventions to safeguard the well-being of communities, the state, and the nation at large.

Governor Buni underscored the necessity for collaborative efforts among stakeholders, including the government, traditional leaders, religious figures, parents, and security agencies, in combating the scourge of illicit substances. He emphasized the crucial role of parents in identifying and addressing drug-related activities among the youth to ensure a prosperous and secure future for all.
