Buni Swears-in 2 Commissioners, HOS, 4 Perm Secs, 28 SA's, others

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has administered Oath of Office on two commissioners, the state Head of Service, four Permanent Secretaries, and 28 Special Advisers for effective service delivery in the state.
The newly appointed commissioners include Prof. Abba Idris and Alh.Mohammed Mohammed Bara.
Gov. Buni charged the new commissioners to contribute positively to the formulation and execution of all government policies, programmes, and projects prudently and transparently for the benefit of all Yobeans.
He also, called on the newly appointies to use their wealth of experience and inject new ideas to add value to the achievements recorded by his administration.
"You should be mindful of serving the people first with great consideration to the future of the state" Buni said.
Swearing in Hamidu M. Alhaji, as the new Head of Service, Governor Buni, reminded him that "that the state is losing experienced hands to retirement, you should cultivate a new effective and efficient workforce to serve our people.
"I want to assure you that the government would provide your office with all the necessary support to train and retrain the workforce to promote efficiency in service delivery" Buni said.
He further warn that this administration would not tolerate favouritism in appointments and promotions to undeserving persons while the most qualified and deserving persons are abandoned and frustrated.
"This administration is always promote competence and merit to make the civil service efficient and productive.
"We must differentiate between civil service, and politicians" Buni warns.
While speaking to the 28 Special Advisers, Governor Buni charged them to carry their constituents along to understand the government policies and programmes.
"Most often, the communities are left behind because we fail to bring them on board to understand the workings of government policies and programmes.
"The office of a Special Adviser can only be vibrant when there is a working connection with the grassroots to afford a credible inputs, for you to advise from a well-informed perspective." He added
He gave assurance that his administration would continue to maintain its open door policy for public officers to make contributions and take collective ownership and responsibility of the government.
