YOBE:ARMY,HUNTERS GROUP THWARTED BOKO HARAM TERRORIST ATTEMPT TO BLOW

UP HIGH TENTION ELECTRIC PYLONS.

In an Efforts to protect the good people and infrastructure of Yobe and Borno State from Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) attack, the combined troops of Combat Team (CT) 7 of 27 Task Force Brigade in conjunction with hunters group on Saturday 6 July 2024, thwarted BHT attempt by BHT to blow up high tention electric Pylons around Kasesa village at outskirts of Damaturu.

On receipt of credible intelligence of BHT activities, troops swiftly laid a successful ambush on the terrorists.

The Statement made available to the Sahel Treasure News by Capt Muhammad Shehu the Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations.

After the troops heavy volume of fire, the terrorists abandon a Toyota Corolla, 8 prepared Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), detonating cables, 2 damaged tyres as well as trade test card/certificate.

The Commander Sector 2 Operation Hadin Kai, Brigadier General MCE Ejike, on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja and Theatre Commander Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI Maj Gen W Shaibu applauded the good people of Yobe State for providing timely and useful information which has enhance operational success, he also urged the general public to remain vigilant and continue to provide useful informations to security agencies in the state as well as report any suspicious movement or persons around them timely.
