Yobe: Information Commissioner urges Yobe Residents to Give President Tinubu Rousing Welcome

Yobe state Commissioner for Home Affairs Information and Culture, Abdullahi Bego, has called on the people of the state to come out en masse to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on a one-day working visit to the state tomorrow Saturday.
Mr. Bego gave the call during a press Briefing today at the NUJ Secretariat in Damaturu.
The Commissioner, who is also the Chairman of the publicity sub-Committee of the presidential visit committee, said the state governor, Mai Mala Buni had urged the people of the state to come out en masse and give the President and his entourage a rousing welcome during the visit to Damaturu, the state Capital.
Bego said, "the President is expected to launch a multi-billion Naira agricultural empowerment scheme, including the distribution of agricultural implements and inputs, among others, procured by Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration."
He noted that the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni had invested huge sums of money in the supply of various agricultural inputs geared towards empowering farmers across the state with a view to enhancing food security.
"During the visit, the President will, among other things, flagg off the Distribution of the multi-billion Naira agricultural equipment, machinery and inputs, including tractors, harvesters, fertilizers, seed, drills, pesticides, and herbicides among others."
"The agricultural implements and inputs were procured by His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni based on his mission of turning around the agricultural fortunes of the state to improved Food security, job creation to youth and women in the state.
