NUJ, CSO's Meets to Discuss on Enhancing Safe and Secured Education in yobe

The Nigerian Union of journalists (NUJ) in Collaboration with the Yobe State civil service Organisation (CSO,s
Organized a one-day roundtable media Discussion on critical issues and the ways to enhancing safe and Secured Education for all
In the Northeastant State through 
Domestication and Implementation of the National policy on safety,Security and violence Free schools in the Northeast Nigeria and Increased budgetary release and performance in education for infrastructure and school training on Disaster and risk Reduction, in yobe Bauchi and Borno. 

The  Executive Director Northeast Youth Initiative for Development (NEYIF),Comr. Dauda  Gombe said,the media roundtable Discussion 
Was organized to advocate for Demonstration and implementation of the National policy,Security and violent Free schools in the Northeast. 

He said as part of their Mission to appeal to government to increase the budgetary allocation for  education sector .

He further stated that, the project was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through palladium.

He also said,"Yobe state is one of the states that experienced attacks schools and such believes that the state should adopt the policy developed by the national education cluster to ensure that all recommendations they are put in place to make the schools safe and secure and violence-free for children to attend the school without fair of attacks.

Part of the Media round-table  engagement is equally tasked the media to hold government accountable by reporting adequately on government's Business. 

Highlight of the engagement meeting was presentation of papers  by Resource persons which include the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ yobe state Council Comr.Rajab M Ismail, Comr. Dauda  M.Gombe  and Mohammad Baba kucici among others.
