Yobe:State Gov't Organized 2days workshop For 3,370 Newly Employed Staff

Yobe State Government has organized a 2days workshop for 3,370,newly employed staff drawn from across 178 political wards for effective service delivery in their respective Agencies,Ministries and Departments.
Declaring the orientation training open, facilitated by CEES Assist Resources Ltd, the Yobe State Head of Service, Hamidu M Alhaji, said the training was meant to equip the newly recruited workers with the essential skills, knowledge, and values in discharging their responsibilities for optimum results.
He stated that the training taking place concurrently in the three Senatorial headquarters of the state was, apart from building the capacity of the new employees, equally meant to bring new employees together for interaction and sharing of ideas.
The Head of Service further revealed that the trainees are expected to be well-equipped with administrative and technical know-how before they are assigned suitable responsibilities for the attainment of organizational goals in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
“The training is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Civil Service structures and functions and equip participants with the essential skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making, among others.
“The newly employed staff who are drawn across 178 Political wards of the 17 Local Government Areas in the state attended the orientation workshop at the designated centers across the three senatorial districts of their state.”
Hamidu M Alhaji enjoined the participants to pay maximum attention to all the presentations by resource persons and ensure that they contribute meaningfully to the discussion and other relevant aspects of the training for it to be successful.
The HoS used the forum to thank Governor Mai Mala Buni for his support of the development of the state civil service.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary Establishment Office of the Head of Service Alhaji Shuaibu Ibrahim Amshi said it is pertinent to note that the employment of young Degree, HND, NCE, and Diploma holders forms an important part of the effort of the present administration of Mai Mala Buni CON the Executive Governor of Yobe State to reinvigorate the Civil Service.
He said, “Giving our youth jobs in the civil service not only reduces unemployment but it is also a clear indication that His Excellency succession plant to pro-actively fill in the vacancies being created by the present wave of massive retirement taking place across all cadres of the state civil service machinery.”
