More Women Groups Benefit From Gov. Buni's Empowerment Programme In Yobe

Yobe state Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON has extended more empowerment support to women groups across the 17 local government areas of the state.
The Governor announced the support today in Damaturu when he received in audience representatives of various women groups in the state.
He said government has procured many empowerment materials for distribution to women to improve their economy and livelihoods.

Governor Buni warned against selling the materials "the materials are provided for you to enhance self-reliance and economic empowerment.
"You are strongly advised against selling these materials as government will continue to support you" Gov. Buni assured.
He directed the Commissioner for Empowerment to provide the groups with 500 deep freezers, pending the official launch of the programme.
Earlier, the state Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Yajallo Badama, commended Gov. Buni for his gender sensitivity, and giving women in the state a sense of belonging.
She called on all Yobe women to continue supporting government policies and programmes for a better and improved livelihoods.
