Yobe:Works Ministry Achieves Significant Milestones in 2024

As the year 2024 comes to an end, the Yobe State Ministry of Works, under the leadership of its Commissioner Engr.Umar Wakil Duddaye, is proud to highlight its notable achievements in infrastructural development in yobe State.
He Further said,
Governor Buni's administration has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the state's growth, earning widespread acclaim from its citizens.
He also said his Ministry has successfully Completed all 2024 projects in the following areas,
Damaturu-Kalallawa Dual Carriageway ongoing, a 25-kilometer road constructed at a cost of N1,519,787.27.
Jajimaji-Karasuwa Road a vital road connecting Jajimaji to Karasuwa, constructed at a cost of N2,025,349,864.95.
Chumbusko-Tagali a 10-kilometer road constructed at a cost of N3,372,110,570.75.
Construction of Roads and drainage systems in Damagum town, Fune LGA, at a cost of N530,362,211.96.
Construction of 2.6 kilometers roads and drainage systems in Potiskum town at a cost of N582,939,420.91.
Construction of 2.3 kilometers road and drainage systems in Jajimaji, Karasuwa LGA, at a cost of N788,087,605.52.
Rehabilitation of Biriri to Babbangida along Damaturu road to Gashua road in Tarmuwa LGA, at a cost of N98,600,000.00.
Rehabilitation of Katarko to Goniri, including stratification, earthworks, and construction of culverts in Gujba LGA, at a cost of N62,814,252.50.
Repairs carried out on the road from Buni Yadi to Buni Gari in Gujba LGA, at a cost of N69,853,752.48.
Earthworks constructed to approach Kayayya bridge in Geidam LGA, at a cost of N294,901,307.31.
A triple box culvert constructed at Kayayya bridge in Geidam LGA, at a cost of N32,854,054.70.
Bukar Abba Ibrahim Estate Entrance Asphalting of the entrance to Bukar Abba Ibrahim Estate along Potiskum road, at a cost of N93,121,151.75.
Mr.Dudday said in addition to the completed projects in the State, the the Ministry is Currently working on the following projects,
Rehabilitation of road from Geidam to Bukarti, at a cost of N1,149,115,135.94.
Rehabilitation of Kanamma junction in Yunusari LGA, at a cost of N2,635,696,348.32.
Construction of the road from Nguru to Balanguwa, at a cost of N1,074,014,000.
Construction of a 25.5-kilometer earth road from Gashua to Masaba, at a cost of N4,461,806,746.76.
Construction of 22.5-kilometer road from Fika to Maluri in Fika LGA, at a cost of N2,244,186,388.35.
Construction of Kukuri to Chukuriwa up to Dawasa in Nangere LGA, at a cost of N1,245,440,640.00.
Construction of the Damaturu city gate to the capital city, at a cost of N860,386,655.27.
Potiskum Town Roads and Drainage Construction of 4.2 kilometers of roads and 8.4 kilometers of line drains in Potiskum town, at a cost of N1,181,422,495.56.
Nguru-Karasuwa Road Construction of a 4-kilometer road from Nguru highway to Karasuwa.
The Commissioner used the forum to commend Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni for the support which enabled the success of the Ministry in the Outgoing year 2024.
