Yobe Gov't procures additional 40 tractors to Improved Agriculture

The Commissioner Ministry of Agriculture and Natural resources Hon Ali Mustapha Goniri said the present administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni has purchased additional 40 unit of tractors in the state.
The commissioner has while conducting journalists round the newly procured tractors at the ministry's premises in Damaturu, reaffirmed government's commitments towards revitalising the Agricultural sector.
He further reassured the readiness of the ministry towards actualizing Buni's efforts of reinvigorating the sector through supplying the necessary farm implements for enhanced for production across Yobe.
Hon Ali Mustapha said the tractors which will be distributed to the four Zonal offices of Potiskum, Nguru, Gashu'a and Damaturu will be deployed for hiring to farmers across Yobe state at subsided rate.
The Commissioner added that the tractors will be equipped with a tracker to avoid misused and crossing to neighbouring states.
Speaking on maintenance, Ali Mustapha Goniri said three team system departments have been constituted at Zonal ward and state levels for the service delivery.
The Commissioner advised Yobe youths to engage in farming activities instead of unnecessary attitude that will only have negative impact on their lives going forward.
It could be recall that,Governor MALA BUNI CON has last year launched mega agricultural input last year 2024 with 100 Units of tractors among others input worth over 15 Billions.
