Yobe Gov't Distributes 200 Motorcycles To Agric Extension Workers

The Yobe State government has distributed 200 motorcycles to Agricultural extension workers for service delivery and field operations in the state.
The Commissioner Ministry for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon Ali Mustapha Goniri, stated this when handing over the motorcycles to the beneficiaries.
He said the distribution of 200 motorcycles and vehicles was meant to support service delivery and promote modern farming in the state through innovative techniques and facilities, with the support of agricultural extension workers.
Goniri said the Ministry for Agriculture will monitor the performance of the extension workers to ensure that farmers in all the nooks and crannies of the state are producing high-premium crops and seeds.
According to him, the extension workers were trained to serve as links between researchers and farmers, enhance productivity, ensure food security, and improve the standard of living of the farmers.
In his remark, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Muhammad Inuwa Gulani, said the Agricultural extension workers will help the farmers to make decisions about innovations and technologies.
