Yobe:YSCHMA Holds a One day stakeholders Training To Improve Healthcare Service Delivery

As part of efforts to improve healthcare service delivery in the state, the Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) has today Tuesday, the 18th of February 2025 organized a one-day review and harmonization meeting with relevant key stakeholders to validate and agree on the reviewed Capitation, Fee-For-Service Tariffs and Drugs
The one day crucial meeting was held at Doctor's House in Damaturu the state capital.
The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Commissioner of Health and Human Services in the state, Dr Muhammad Lawan Gana ably represented by Dr Musa Sarki who is the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics of the Ministry and Co-chaired by the Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Baba Gana Tijjani.
The meeting had in attendance the State Coordinator of NHIA Yobe State office, Yobe NLC Chairman, National Secretary General of NMA, representatives of House committee on Health, Chief Medical Directors from Federal Medical Centre Nguru and YSUTH, ES HMB, ES YOHFIMA, ES YEMABUS, ES YODMA, healthcare providers, Development Partners, YSCHMA management team and other senior staff of the agency amongst others.
The meeting is a critical step towards ensuring enrollees of Yobe state contributory healthcare scheme have easy access to affordable and qualitative healthcare services.
The stakeholders meeting is also geared towards achieving universal health coverage (UHC) in the state by the year 2030.
