Yobe:YSU Students Inducted Into Nigerian Association Of Petroleum Explorationists

The Yobe State University (YSU) chapter of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAUPE) was officially inaugurated at the university’s campus.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor’s,yobe State University Damaturu. 

The presentation of the certificates to the students of the Department of Geology, YSU Chapter at the Vice Chancellor Office YSU Damaturu. 

In his remarks, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of YSU, Prof. Bukar Jamri, congratulated the students and urged them to focus on their studies and be good ambassadors of the institution.

He pledged the university’s commitment to supporting the students and staff of the Department of Geology.

The Head of Department, Prof. Adam Zarma, explained that NAPE is a professional association that promotes the study and practice of petroleum geosciences. 

He noted that the inauguration of the YSU chapter would expose students to current developments in the field of oil and gas exploration, including technological advancements and business processes.

The inauguration also makes the Department of Geology eligible for various forms of assistance from NAPE, including research grants, teaching support, and donation of educational materials.

The ceremony which was attended by university officials, students, and representatives of NAPE.
