NEDC:Officially Commissioned School To Improving Access To Quality Education

The North East Development Commission Has today Officially Commissioned Ari Kime Mega school in Potiskum and handed over to the Yobe State Government.
This landmark project is a strategic intervention aimed at decongesting the already overpopulated school, thereby improving access to quality education and creating a more conducive learning environment for students in the area.
The gigantic project has 2 Storey Buildings for both Primary and Junior Secondary Schools Sections as follows:
4-blocks of 24-classrooms,
8 stores,
32 toilets,
Administrative Block of 7 Offices, 1 Store and 6 Toilets.
1 Block of 2-Units of 2-Bedroom staff Quarters,
Commercial Centre of 4 shops and 2 toilets,
Gate House and Fencing,
School Clinic comprising of Emergency Room, Resting Room, 2 Wards, Pharmacy and 2 Toilets,
Power house,
Transformer,
Borehole with Overhead and Ground water tanks,
Solar streetlights, among others.
The commissioning ceremony was led by the Honourable Minister of State for Regional Development,Uba Maigari Ahmadu Bello in company of the Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni who was represented by Secretary to the Yobe State Government Baba Malam Wali mni.
The Managing Director/CEO of NEDC, Mohammed G. Alkali announced that there are 2 other similar mega school projects in Yobe State located in Gashua, Bade LGA as well as Buni Yadi in Gujba LGA.
The SSG Baba Malam Wali mni who represented Governor Buni at the handing over appreciates the efforts of the NEDC in education development and other critical sectors.
