Yobe Gov't Launches 2nd Phase of Mega Agricultural Empowerment

Yobe State Government has today launched the distribution of the Second Phase of Mega Agricultural Empowerment tools.
The event took place at August 27th Stadium Damaturu.
Addressing people at the event, Governor Mai Mala Buni says the Programme is part of the State Government's resolve aimed at boosting the Agricultural Potentials available in the State.
The Governor notes that this is the second phase of the empowerment targeting the population of the state which is either engaged in crop production, Livestock Agriculture or both.
He says the empowerment is also geared towards shifting the mode of Agriculture from subsistence to mechanized Agriculture, warning the beneficiaries against selling or moving the tools out of the State
to curtal the menace of selling the items, Governor Buni says security operatives are directed to intercept any person found trying to sale or take the tools out of the State.
Commenting on the impact of the Programme, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Political and other Matters, Hon. Kabiru Ibrahim Masari says the gesture worth emulation by other Leaders in order to ensure food sufficiency and economic growth.
The event was attended by prominent personalities from within and outside Yobe State.
This particular programme features the distribution of forty units of Mercy Furgurson Tractors, One Nine Hundred and Sixty One Power Tillers, One Thousand, Two Hundred and Fifty Hand Push Planters, Five Hundred and Fifty Three Multipurpose Threshers, Three Thousand Four Hundred and Ten Solar Powered Pumps, Eight Hundred and Thirty Fertilizer Applicators, Four Thousand Five Hundred Bags of NPK 20:10:10 Fertilizer, One Hundred and Ninety Five Crops Rescue Crushers, among other implements that can aid Agriculture in a mechanized way.
