Buni,has today inaugurate Council on Nutrition 774 Initiative, at the council chamber government house Damaturu.
The program designed to improve nutrition outcomes across 774 Local Government Areas of Nigeria's.
The initiative aims to enhance food security, health, and nutrition by fostering community engagement, multi-level governance, and multi-sectoral collaboration.
He emphasized the importance of strong multi-sectoral collaboration, coordinator
and community participation in achieving the program’s objective.
Governor buni highlighted the Yobe State’s commitment to improving public health and nutrition, citing the state’s agricultural empowerment program and integration of nutrition-sensitive interventions into health, education, and social protection programs.
The Nutrition 774 Renew hope Initiative is a flagship program of the Nigerian government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinibu administration, launched by Vice President Kashim Shettima, to combat malnutrition nationwide.
The initiative seeks to ensure that every mother and child has access to lifesaving nutrition interventions tailored to their unique needs.
On her Remarks the Senior Special Assistant to the president on public health office of the vice president miss Uju Rochas,
said they were in Yobe State on the directives of the Vice President Kashim Shettima under the Renewed Hope initiative agenda of President Bola Tinubu “we’re here to introduce to you and initiative that touches the lives of the society.
This initiative is very very dear to Mr. President, the Nutrition 774 Initiatives”.
She described malnutrition as a silent killer that affects the child’s development in all aspects of growth and performance in education
