Gov.Buni Presents over N515b 2026 Budget

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has today presented a budget of Five Hundred and Fifteen Billion, Five Hundred and Eighty-Three Million Naira (N515,583,000,000) for the 2026 fiscal year before the yobe state House of Assembly.

to service capital, recurrent, overhead and personnel costs.
This is against the Three-Hundred and Twenty Billion, Eight-Hundred and Eleven Million Naira (N320,811,000,000) of the outgoing year.
The budget provides the sum of One Hundred and Ninety-Two Billion, One Hundred and Twenty-Eight Million Naira (N192,128,000,000) representing 37.3% to the recurrent expenditure.
The sum of Three Hundred and Twenty Three Billion, Four Hundred and Fifty-Five Million Naira (N323,455,000,000) representing 62.7% of the budget is earmarked for capital expenditure.
The Governor listed healthcare delivery, education, agriculture and infrastructural development including road construction, electricity, water supply and others among the
key areas that received government attention in the outgoing year.
He Further said government would establish a dailysis center in Gashua to provide succour to kidney patients and the government would also construct a new General hospital in Potiskum to decongest the Specialist hospital" in 2026.
