Yobe Gov't Signed MoU Service Level Agreement, With NAMA

The Yobe State Government signed Memorandum of understanding on Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) as part of the final preparations for the commencement of commercial operations at the Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport (MBICA), Damaturu.
The signing ceremony was held at the office of the Managing Director of NAMA, Mr. Farouq Ahmed Umar, and was signed on behalf of the Yobe State Government by the Honourable Commissioner of Transport and Energy, Hon. Muhammad Muhammad Bara, and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mustapha Abba Geidam.
This important milestone aligns with the ongoing efforts of the Governor of Yobe State,Mai Mala Buni, CON, who remains fully committed to ensuring that 2026 Hajj operations will commence successfully from the Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport, Damaturu.
The event brings Yobe State a step closer to opening MBICA to global aviation activities.
The facility is positioned to become one of the key aerodrome infrastructures in the North-East region and is progressing toward meeting all required International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and regulations.
