Yobe Com For Local Government Receives NIMC State Coordinator

The yobe state Commissioner For local government and chieftaincy affairs
received Yobe State Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Mr. Zaman Yaksha, on a working visit to his office at the Ibrahim Badamasi State Secretariat Damaturu.
In his Remarks Mr. Yaksha said the purpose of this engagement was to seek the support and intervention of the Ministry to improve the National Identity Number (NIN) enrollment process in across 17LGA's.
He noted that the state is currently lagging behind in the national data management system and emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between NIMC and the state government.
He assured that the Commission is ready to deploy its personnel to various local government areas across the state to ensure wider coverage and faster capture of residents, provided adequate support.
Zaman expressed his Delight over the visit and reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to support NIMC in the discharge of its responsibilities.
The Commissioner express his happiness for the visit and assured the delegation for immediate intervention to enhance and hasten the Commission’s operations across the 17LGA's.
Mr.Ibrahim said he will brief His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, on the current status of NIN enrollment and NIMC activities in the state to ensure sustained government support.
