A serving police officer in Borno State, officer Mr.Mohammad Muhammad, has earned widespread commendation after returning ₦2.6 million that was mistakenly transferred into his bank account by a customer of a fintech company, Moniepoint.

Upon discovering the unexpected credit, Mr Mohammad chose the path of honesty, integrity and accountability. Rather than ignoring the transfer or taking advantage of the situation.
He made deliberate efforts to trace the source of the funds, contacted the appropriate channels, and ensured that the entire amount was safely returned to the rightful owner hand.

His action stands as a powerful reminder that integrity remains a core value within the Nigeria Police Force.

At a time when public trust in institutions is critical, Mr Mohammad’s conduct reflects the ideals of service, discipline, and moral courage expected of officers in uniform.

This commendable act not only restores confidence in law enforcement but also sends a strong message that honesty is still alive, and character still matters.
