Yobe State Government formally took over the remaining 32 uncompleted housing units located along Maiduguri Road, following the completion of payment for the units.

This follows the earlier acquisition of 176 housing units late last year, bringing the total number of houses purchased by the Yobe State Government to 208 units.

This intervention is a laudable initiative of His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, aimed at easing housing challenges and addressing the housing deficit in the State.
While in some states individuals are left to purchase such houses directly, the Yobe State Government took the deliberate decision to acquire these units on behalf of its citizens in order to make home ownership more accessible and affordable.

The State Government will undertake comprehensive renovation, upgrading, and completion works on all 208 units, including both the previously acquired 176 houses and the 32 uncompleted units before allocation.

This ensures that beneficiaries will receive houses that are safe, functional, and built to acceptable living standards.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry alongside senior Government officials.
