Gov Buni Bags Vanguard Newspaper Gov. Of The Year Award

The Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni CON COMN, with a letter of  best Governor of the Year award.

Presenting the letter to the Governor, the  Deputy Editor, Adekunle Adekoya, said the nomination of Gov. Buni was based on his outstanding performance in infrastructural development across the state.

"The editorial board 

Of vanguard Newspaper has been following positive developments across the state keenly.

"This award is worthy and deserving, and intended to serve as a springboard for more performance" he said.

The statement which is signed and issue to the sahel treasure by the Director General press and Media Affairs Mamman Mohammed

Gov. Buni commended the Newspaper for its independent investigation of development across the state.

"I hereby dedicate this award to the good people of the state, the beneficiaries of the programmes and projects" Gov. Buni said.

The award is to be formally presented to the Governor on 24th April 2026 at a ceremony in Lagos.
