Northern Governors Reassess security Situation

The Executive Governor of Yobe state Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni CON COMN along with his colleagues today attended the Northern Governors' Forum at the Gombe State Governor's Lodge, Abuja.
The meeting was presided over by Gombe state Governor and Chairman of the forum, Alh. Muhammad lnuwa Yahaya.
The meeting centred on security in the Northern states with a call to support initiatives to collectively fight the scourge.
The Chairman reminded his colleagues of their pledge to contribute N1b monthly to the Northern states security Trust fund.
He commended some states who have exhibited commitment to the fund 'Some states have started contributing to the fund while others are yet to start".
The statement which is signed and issue to the sahel treasure by the DG press and Media Affairs to the Governor Mamman Mohammed.
Gov. Yahaya also reminded his colleagues on the contribution to build the forum's Secretariat.
