Gov.Buni Upgrade Specialist Hospital Laboratory, Eye Unit

In his bid to provide the highest standard of Healthcare and reduce medical tourism, Governor Mai Mala Buni has provided modern diagnostic equipment to the Specialist Hospital in Damaturu.
The ultra-modern machines include a Semen Analyzer, ELISA reader & Washer, Five-part hematology analyzer, water bath, incubator, electrolytes analyzer, hematocrit centrifuge, chemistry analyzer, high-definition blood bank unit, plasma extractor, and blood mixer.
Similarly, modern diagnostic machines were supplied to the ophthalmology unit for evaluation and treatment of glaucoma a common eye condition that has always been referred to facilities outside the state.
Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed K (Zannah Dujima of Gujba), the Hospital Ambassador, unveiled the equipment in the presence of the CMD of the Hospital, Dr. Usman Abba Geidam, Executive Secretary of the Hospital Management Board, Dr. Abubakar Yerima Buni and the Director of Planning in the Ministry of Health among others.
With this development, the hospital is now ranked as a 5-star laboratory and its services have become third in the subregion.
