Mukhtar Honoured with Prestigious Title of Galadima of Gudi Emirate Council

Gudi Emirate Council conferred with the Dr. Muktar Yerima with the prestigious traditional title of Galadima of Gudi Emirate Council by the Emir of Gudi, His Royal Highness Alh. Ismaila Ahmad Dala Madugu Ibn Kaji.
The honour was bestowed upon him following the recommendation and unanimous endorsement of the kingmakers of the Gudi Emirate in recognition of his outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the growth of the emirate.
The colourful investiture ceremony attracted traditional rulers, members of the traditional council, community leaders, dignitaries, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the historic occasion at Dr. Mukhtar Yerima residence in Damaturu.
The kingmakers described Dr. Mukhtar Yerima as a deserving recipient, expressing confidence that he would uphold the values, customs, and responsibilities attached to the revered title.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Mukhtar Yerima expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Emir of Gudi, His Royal Highness Alh. Ismaila Ahmad Dala Madugu Ibn Kaji, and the kingmakers for the confidence reposed in him.
Muktar described the honour as a call to greater service and pledged to justify the trust placed in him.
He assured the Emir, the traditional council, and the entire people of the Gudi Emirate of his unwavering commitment to supporting the emirate’s development, preserving its rich cultural heritage, and promoting peace, unity, and progress.
He pledged to faithfully discharge the duties of the office and work hand in hand with the traditional institution for the benefit of the people.
